Trunk won't open [not jammed]

My 2013 is having some issues at the moment, was wondering if any of you knew why perhaps.

I'm able to open the trunk from the inside by pulling the lever. However none of my buttons are working. Button on my keyless entry doesn't work, button inside the car doesn't work, button on the outside trunk doesn't work.

No idea why either. Didn't slam my trunk and break anything, never had any problems prior.

Anyone have an idea of what's going on?

You might check the lockout button on the inside of the trunk (left side).

Maybe it got punched.

See page 29 of the manual (at least in my 2013 FR-S manual).

Check and see if the button located inside the trunk was pressed. If it is, the trunk won't release using any method besides the key.

For LHD vehicles, it's located on the driver side. It's a very small button

there's a button inside the trunk on the left side to lock it -- maybe something hit it by accident and is now locked?

Has anyone mentioned the button in the trunk yet?

You could always open it with the keyhole...

The button inside the truck in fact needed to be pressed. Had my co worker climb in and press it for me because it was easier to manage.

Thanks everyone!

Also....I have keyless entry, no keyhole I know of.

there is a keyhole ;)

the key is part of the fob and the keyhole pops out from the trunk. you don't have much leverage to turn the key as there isn't much of a base, but it'll turn.

I didnt even know that there was a lockout button in the trunk

Super annoying when something moves and trips the button, plus my key wouldn't work for my trunk. Luckily my pull cords to drop the back seat were accessible from my back seat so I just yanked them and crawled through to press the button lol
