The tips can discolor. They are chemically treated and not heat treated.

I have the perrin 3" resonated on my car. Currently have the jdl turbo kit and have 3" mid pipe and over pipe as well. Absolutely love it. It's nice and tame with a lower tone and not loud at all as I prefer that over being loud. I previously had the ark grip resonated with hks header, motive op, motive fp all 2.5 on my previous vortech setup and it was loud as fuck.

In terms of fitment, it's perfect. No issues during install and perrin utilizes vbands from after the catback flange to the muffler. Where the muffler actually goes, perrin supplies locks that go in front of where the hangers go to ensure that it doesn't shift around as well. I can also say it fits with the driveway labs type 1 diffuser. Very well designed and engineered piece in my opinion.

of course i'm biased because I haven't used the q300 before, but hope this helps.

That sucks, any ideas how long it will last or how bad the discolor can be?

Really depends on how it comes from Invidia or the vendor. I've seen sets that look amazing and real deep blue. Then I've seen sets that are faded.

I ended up selling one of my Q300's that I custom anodized with 4 9V batteries, and some Coca-Cola. Came out to a really cool blue color, but wasn't super dark. The tips are actually titanium and anodizing does work. I feel like the tips should be properly chemically treated when you get them though.

They don't fade from washing them with soapy water or weather. I never had a problem with them. Just make sure they look the way you want them when you get the box, otherwise, ship it back for a replacement or talk to the vendor you got it from. As long as it hasn't been mounted, they should be able to replace it.

I'll take a pic of mine later on.. im boosted and fully catless so they're as bad as they will ever get. They do last, they don't essentially wear out or anything but what I meant is that after a while the performance(It did for me)will out weight the look.

Its a nice kit I really thought of getting the Invidia full exhaust but I needed something catted and resonated since I had Ptuning header and it was really raspy. I know the resonated invidia a more expensive and maybe not worth the difference in sound. The rasp without the resonator is only noticeable at cold startup.

The Ti will not fade lol trust me.. ive had it for some time, first NA and now turbo and its gets dirty but when you give it a good cleaning its right there as bright as ever. Just know that invidia is smaller diameter exhaust piping.

That's the catless nonresonated.. you'll be good specially since you don't a header installed. You wont be disappointed. Its a deep, mellow sporty tone. Not loud at all, not that hollow powerless sound you hear on some Hondas(no disrespect to anyone).

That is exactly what im trying to avoid. not trying to rice out my brz lol

Yeah, i want something louder than stock but not too loud that i can disrupt my neighbors nights.

I read that with this setup you get a very low deep sound when idle and a nice deep sound when hitting the throttle.

Thanks man. Yeah I would assume that the catless front pipe helps with the sound.

I picked it up from a buddy of mine for a steal so I couldn't tell you what the Q300 sounds like with the OEM front pipe. As for any power gains? Maybe a bit, but not enough that I could really feel. Sure makes the car more enjoyable to drive though. I've had the exhaust for a year, and my buddy before that about 1 year and a half, they have discoloured slightly. Mostly at the bottom, but with a bit of polishing compound they do clean up.

I have bought a few thing for FT86SF and have had zero complaints. Other than the exchange rate for between USD and CDN right now. Its something like 1USD for every 1.20CDN.

I wasn't revving very high since I was in a residential area. Maybe 4-5k. Here is what a cold (I mean very cold) start sounds like. There is a bit of distortion from uploading to youtube though.
