We were both going normal 20MPH speed here. I was about a half car length away from her. But, she hit it so fast and quick and suddenly, I had two options:

1. I get hit where you see in that picture

OR

2. I swerve on the left lane to avoid her, but risk getting hit on the driver's side with the oncoming left lane traffic.

Thus, that is the result...

Thanks dude! I read your posts all the time around here. It'll probably look like nothing happened, but I know it'll be there. It's like a scar.

Fuuuu---.... hate seeing these kinds of posts, man. Don't worry too much about it, let insurance and the body shop take care of the rest.

That really sucks, but I'm glad you're okay. Unfortunately you'll probably be found at fault though for following too closely. Regardless that some other morons indecisiveness that may have been what prompted the accident, the fact that you were only a half car length behind the person in front of you won't bode well from an insurance perspective.

Were you issued a ticket on the scene?

Oh, I fully know that the insurance will see me at fault for this, but the lady's story is the same as mine and we both specified the driver on the far right in the wrong. Also, I didn't specify that I was a half car length away, I just said that she slammed on the breaks due to the other driver's indecisiveness.

I hope that the insurance takes that into consideration when all is said and done.

I wasn't issued a ticket, but I do have to pick up the police report tomorrow. Hopefully, all goes well.

I'm just really bummed that my car is ruined.

Isn't that exactly what you said in your previous post?

In any case, that's good news that you weren't issued a ticket at the scene. Can only work in your favor with the insurance company. Good luck!

Oh I know haha. I meant that I didn't specify that on the report. Hopefully, I can bring the car to a shop I want! I have a shop in hand, so we'll see.

I dealt with Brian at the Seaford location. I had a good experience dealing with him. My neighbor actually hit my fender with a baseball yesterday.... so I may be going back there to see if they can pop out the dent.
Wantagh Subaru used them to replace the front bumper on my 2015 Series.Blue
They had drilled holes in the bumper after specifically saying ten times not to and I was going to walk away. Not to mention the holes they drilled for the plate were drilled crooked.

Anyways they matched my 2015 front bumper better then the stock one was to the fenders. It took a while though cause they ordered the paint directly from Subaru. And I believe someone told me they are required to use factory paint within the first 2 years or something. Not sure if that is true though.

If you'd like to see my car on instagram @turbosupra94

Interesting. Thanks for that. I wonder if Precision Auto Works would do that? They seem to be a really good repair shop, especially since their the first shop to be certified to fix Tesla.

Man I'm really sorry about this. Hope you find those parts asap.

On the side note I'm gonna be a **** and say something extra........always keep ur distance, half car length is too close by my standard. Defensive driving Bro. You can't trust those idiots on the road except yourself.
