Great.

This happened today. I was both upset and crying on the inside.

Anyone know of a reputable body shop in NYC that can paint match the actual paint?

The 2015 WRB is much darker than previous years, so I don't want to see two different coats of paint on my car.

Any help is appreciated.

Story:

Three lane road. Lady and myself are on the middle lane with me behind her (which is both a Go Straight/Turn Right lane).

Person on the far right side is on the Right Turn Only lane.

Man decides at the very last second, to change his mind and go straight instead.

To avoid hitting the man, the lady slammed on her brakes. She slammed so hard and quick, that I did not have any time to react.

Therefore, this happened. Rear-ended her and of course my car took the most damage.

The guy who decided to change his mind sped away, while I was left in ruins.

EDIT:

Thanks guys. I put this post up not to ask for sympathy, just in case anyone was annoyed on why I put this post up. I put it up because I love my car so much.

The fact that my car, that I absolutely cherish and take care of every single minute, is now ruined, breaks me.

To some of your posts, @dannythetran, yeah I had just installed my new ARK exhaust too...

At the end of the day, i'm glad both drivers involved are OK, but as I was going to work today, I took the MTA instead of my car, and man, was it depressing. The sunny, nice weather didn't help either, and it made me sad.

I just want my car back! Do you think i'll get all the Series.Blue specific parts back? (OEM STI skirts, passenger side wheel maybe?, etc.)

Ouch, so sorry man.

Are you sure it's not totaled? What happened? It looks like someone ran a red light or something.

IMO, this isn't totalled.

Good luck in finding what you need OP.

Brutal! What the hell happened? I'd be super upset to see that...

-1000 points for dropping a pic like that with no story.

Quite unfortunate.

You just installed your exhaust too!

Another (Edit: Series.Blue); is it just me or are (Edit: Series.Blues) crashing more often than the regular BRZs?

Guru Woodman 03-22-2015 01:26 PM

Wow, that hurts to see, so sorry.

As for color matching you '15 WRB. I think any reputable body shop won't confuse the 2015 blue with previous years. They use computers to mix paint and 2015 will have a different formula. I wouldn't worry about the color too much. I do hope that they deliver professional work, as in no dust particles in you paint, tiger stripes, overspray etc..
@carma143, BRZ STi? As far as I know there is no such model. Isn't this one a Series Blue (or Auzora in Canada)?

BRZtoni 03-22-2015 01:29 PM

I'm sorry to hear what happened, hopefully they can fix it without any issues..
they shouldn't have any problems mixing the paint since most REPUTABLE body shop should have computers mixing their stuff..

You're right. I meant Series.Blue. I was fooled by the "STI" trim.
