I'm old (pushing 40) and live in the Northwest. I needed heated seats. End of story for me.

I would be okay with this justification if they were actually full leather seats. Every time somebody tells me they only got the BRZ over the FRS for the leather seats, I imagine myself taping 4 or 5 patches of leather onto my seats to show them we have the seats now.

Coming from the S2000, I actually thought the seats in the BRZ Limited I drove were rather nice. The interior, in general, on the limited was pretty nice to me. I dug it.

However, although everyone says the bolstering on the FRS/BRZ seats is really good, the S2000 seats fit me much more tightly. I'm fairly tall & thin though, for whatever it's worth...

Generally, yes.

However, your geographical location, age, and personal record have more of an impact than the manufacturer.

Insurance is based on who is driving, not really what you're driving... It's not the car, it's the chances of that make/model being involved in an accident or being stolen.

BRZ has a more... ah... mature ownership group

Actually you are sort of right as the BRZ spoiler is used as OEM on all the 86s around the world except the FRS!

Exactly. As the brz has a more mature ownership group, they get cheaper insurance. But still, structurally the same car. Grr....

^^^

$163 for me on BRZ, $151 for me FR-S. Full coverage, 25, clean record, CA driving... have bit more than what insurance laws ask for though...
