It wasn't bad out in central New York on Saturday (18 degrees Fahrenheit and sunny, roads were dry) so I took the FRS from storage to my friends shop to install some parts. I had the same experience. My car has zero toe and max camber for crash bolts. You know its unstable when a 200 hp car gets sideways going straight in second gear on a dry road. Snow tires are a must even for cold temperatures.

um...our cars have approximately 5" of clearance, about 6" at the front lip. Which means that you're trying to snowplow if you were trying to make it out of your garage.

Btw, not sure if you have heard of this, but its called a shovel. You may want to invest in one.

Lowered almost 1 1/2"s but with the proper tires on it I have plowed through up to 14" of untouched snow more then once with just the slightest flicker of the traction control light.

Yes, but you're crazy, and probably have snow tires, unlike the other guy.

Yep and yep!
It is a blast though when you are driving down a road that 100s or even 1,000s of cars have already traveled and you are still plowing the snow! I just sing " I am the lowest, I am the lowest" and continue on my way (frequently while waving to the SUVs and pickups in the ditch).

Been fine for me. Only got stuck once when I was going a bit too fast around a corner and hit some glare ice and ended up in some deep snow that had built up on the other side but been good otherwise.

Plowing the laneway! I don't need no stinking shovel.

I have a shovel. I had a vasectomy 2 days prior to the snowfall. I, medically, wasn't allowed to shovel snow. When I was off restriction, I promptly shoveled my way out.

That right there is one procedure I am not looking forward to. However, after your story, I may consider getting it done during the warmer months to avoid snow issues

Most guys do it around March Madness. I'm not a basketball fan, so I didn't see the appeal of that timing. I thought about getting it done during World Cup last year. We weren't certain we were done with kids until this fall, though.

The procedure wasn't bad. They get you all hopped up on painkillers and then use local anesthesia. They do it right in the office. A week later, you don't feel any different... generally. Some people do have painful swelling and bruising. I just generally had to keep my 2.5 year old from bouncing all over me like she usually does.

Weird, the two forums I visit the most, this one and a golf forum, have both had vasectomy discussion come up in the last couple of days.

Back on topic, my skid plate has been getting a beating this year. But, it finally got warm enough for me to take the car through the wash to get rid of some of the 10lbs of salt salt that was caked on it.

I actually heard the same thing--again, I agree that I don't have enough attention to basketball to really chose that time. I honestly have a ton of TV shows to catch up on, so I will most likely be doing that during any recovery time.

Ya it was nice here on Saturday and it was about a 2 hour wait for a wash bay. Cars were lined up down the block near everyone I tried. Two guys even got into a fist fight at one because the dude pulled into a bay that the other guy figured should be his. I finally just said screw t and went through a touchless at 11 that night.
