Yeah it's a CF wrap but the 2016 Starlink BRZ radio dash surround is actually contoured different and the opening is a different shape than the 2015 and prior pieces. See below pic of the 2016 contoured, trapezoid opening, dash piece over a regular shaped shaped HU.

Noob question: I would like to get the series blue dash, is it as simple as going to any Subaru dealership and tell them the part number you want to order?

Yes sir it is. Beware though, it's more expensive than you may think. It was around 150 for both pieces for me.
