I looked and found one of those stickers on my car today. It says 3 pounds in capacity reduction. I bought the car new in June.
The car came with a Borla muffler instead of OEM, so maybe that is it. But the Borla, according to what found in a little bit of online research, should be about two pounds lighter than the OEM muffler. So shouldn't the sticker say the car's carrying capacity was increased? |

Probably has something to do with tire rating, weather effects, or like that.

4 pounds added for the trunk mat here. Sticker on when car was purchased new. Notice that the VIN is printed on the sticker. Looked at the option list and knew what it was for, dealer didn't have a clue.
Don't know if these are on all new cars but I know it's very easy to 'overload' small sports cars. I 'overload' my MX-5 whenever I take one of my overweight friends along for a ride. Probably means nothing except in a civil suit after an accident. Lawyers will point that out when accusing you of driving a dangerously 'overloaded' car.
