52 - always been a car nut and am a certified track junkie. I own and have owned many superb sports/track cars and followed the development of the twins with much anticipation. After reading all the reviews and after a fellow track junkie (also 50+) got an FRS last year, I finally gave into curiosity and bought mine a few months ago and am EXTREMELY impressed!

The mods I've done are the minimal items I feel are needed for track driving: crash/camber bolts, Carbotech XP12 pads, Perrin oil cooler, TF brake cooling kit, 17x8 RPF1 wheels with 235 AD08 tires.

I'm waiting to see the reviews of the Cosworth Stage 1 (220HP) kit to get rid of the torque dip and for a reasonable 10% power gain. This mod is more for street driving

44 here. The FR-S is my year 'round daily driver. I bought it new in June 2012 because I wanted something fun to drive every day (got tired of driving beaters and trucks as everyday vehicles). So far, I've added a TRD airbox, a Nameless op/dp combo, and a modified TRD catback.
My weekend car is an '07 V6 Mustang that I bought new. It has a supercharger, headers, gears and a bunch of other mods.

Not to take the thread off-topic but I would be extremely interested in a review of a kit like this. I trust the Cosworth name and am not looking to overstress what is already a high strung engine IMO. Would like more power but if it maintains a semblance of reliability 220hp would be fine. Eliminating the torque dead spot would be worth the price of admission personally. Affordability would be nice too. I don't want to grenade this engine or change it's character either. Back on topic, THIS would be a mod I'd consider.

Gas used to be 25c per gallon.

Toyota designed a new lightweight platform that would appeal to sportcar enthusiasts.
Not many in the 25 and younger marketing segment have seen much in this category as new cars, what with all the boats they've been building for years.
Toyo is hoping to get the younger gens to realize that something like this exists and is an affordable option.
Lo Powah.

oh, Perrin lic. relocator and shift knob. WeatherTech floormats. yo

42 Here also. Love this car, it's my year round DD. My only mods are all-season tires & all weather floor mats. I'm still trying to convince my wife I need the Berk Dual muffler delete.
I think Toyota knew we were waiting on this car. Thank goodness they pull the trigger and built it.

41 here. Year round DD. TRD Exhaust, TRD Intake, Eibach Pro kit, tint and 18 x 9.5 Work Kiwamis.

Rookie of the year finalist in SCCA Solo (STX)

My family think it's a "mid life crisis" car after driving a 4runner for 15 years.
My friends are secretly jealous of it because they're all driving SUVs or minivans to haul the kids around.
It's a blast to drive and as long as I can get my girl and my golf clubs around, it's fine with me.

36 here.

Wife surprised me with the car for Father's Day 2013.

I do feel old as most of the people I meet with 86's are younger and just want as much camber as the can on the car

Great idea for a thread!

Also 36 here. The BRZ is my first actual new car. I absolutely love it (especially after I replaced the stock sound system).

I too saw Star Wars at the drive in, and gas was 86cents when I first started driving. I actually made a Beuford T Justice reference at work, and the younger guys are like "who is that?" lol
