I brought the vehicle in for service when it began making a squealing noise. The service advisor immediately diagnosed it as the fuel pump without letting any qualified tech look at it or even opening the hood. He told me it was safe to drive until the replacement pump came in even though I told him it did not sound like the fuel pump that they had already replaced a few months ago. After going back and forth he insisted I come back a few days later and would not take the vehicle in. The next day the pulley broke apart. Negligence on them with an employee overstepping his job description. Lawyer called.....10 minutes later free water pump and diagnostic testing.

All...

I appreciate the support and kind words. When you are as small and young as Raceseng is as a company, we can't take the risk even if it was only two water pump pulleys.

The redesign is done and I'm reviewing it with some of the guys here today. The new water pump pulley material is on order.

Thanks!

All products have flaws, and failure is basically a part of any item sold. You won't see anyone else issuing a recall with only two reported failures. I've been looking at Raceseng stuff for a while and this is just one more reason to buy whenever I get around to buying parts.

For anyone in the local area, we're going to be swapping these out at no charge. We'll have walk in hours 2-4pm, but do call ahead of time to make sure it isn't going to be busy. That means getting the old one out, stock one on, and then when you get your new one.

While obviously a little upset my $500 pulley set requires a replacement, i am very impressed by this attitude. It instills great confidence that raceseng cares and is taking responsibility.

Will buy raceseng products again (hurry up and get some blue gopro tow hooks in stock hahaha )

How many miles did the defective water pump pulleys have on them?
Need to find time to get mine replaced.

This recall is for a Raceseng pulley kit, not the Perrin pulleys.

Put about 20k on my full pulley kit so far without any issues, guess I will still pull it off just to be safe though. Good stuff @Raceseng

Thanks Bonks, better to be on the safe side. I still have the water pump pulley on our FRS. Pull only the water pump pulley. Thanks!
