I didn't dyno the car, but I did try the same thing on my other cars, ex Toyota alphard with 1mz, I install a 1gr tb, and a vw gol, I use one from Nissan q45. The vw got a lot change but the alphard, while my vw has a lot mods and alphard is only a stock car.

Haha that's okay mate

I have the 1GR (4.0 V6) myself and I find it pretty nice and torquey

Back to TBs, why are you getting a throttle body though? And what changes would it make apart from maybe throttle response?

I have a Honda CL7 accord euro r had this changed, it just make the car different. And it's not quite expensive. That's why I want to go for it.

i don't understand the point of this post... you're putting an even bigger throttle body from an older car on a 2.0L N/A car with an oversized throttle body already?

Are you just doing this for fun or do you *Hope* to gain more power?

I did rebuilt the engine with cylinder head ported and Hks higher compressor ratio head gasket, ported the intake manifold, ported catless exhaust header with straight cat back. High flow fuel pump. Right now I'm planning to make a new intake, so want to change aa bigger tb at the same time. Just want to keep this car non turbo. Want to finish all this thing before the ecu upgrade.

I did similar mods on my accord euro r and got a lot different at high rpm. Hopes will help in accelerating.

All throttle body are the same price here for second hand. So I buy the biggest

Too big can kill velocity (and really ruin driveability), bigger isn't always better.

You should also realize that the stock TB is quite large on these cars, so just because a totally different car with a totally different engine configuration saw gains, it doesn't mean you'll get any benefit from this.

If a bigger TB truly will not help...then ITBs will not help either. Same exact concept, theory and goals - more air (in the expense of velocity/venturi effect).

Remember those Spoon venturi gaskets made for Hondas in the 90s? ...I think/wonder if they really worked...maybe Crawford should've experimented with them and maybe included it in their Billet Power Block designs.

I would think that ITB's would behave a little differently that one large throttle body. It's easier to start and stop a smaller volume of air than an entire plenum full of air. Peak horsepower may be similar, but drivability should be a lot better with ITB's.

I agree with you. I have made an exhaust designed base on the venturi theory. It really makes the exhaust go faster and the rpm climbs faster.
