toyota 1gr 76mm throttlr body

Hi,

I just got a throttle body from a toyota 2gr engine, the plug is the same as 4U, BUT got no response when plug into my 86. Are they different?

I'd go with yes, but what do I know :D

The connector might be the same, but the control signals might differ.

Does it bolt to the FA20 manifold?

michael336 05-25-2014 10:24 PM

No, but I made an adapter.

What all is done to your engine that you can actually make use of a TB that big?

Super turbo charger. With nos.

Very curious about this, if it's legit.

A humongo TB is probably the closet thing to an ITB setup for NA (which hasn't been done/reported yet); regardless if the engine is small/low-hp. A tune and/or cams is most likely needed to squeeze the power out of it and/or to even make it work.

Isn't the stock throttle body 76mm?
