My 14 (May 2014 build) has the softer trim but maybe yours was an earlier build? After piles and piles of salt mine is still pristine at the window (just checked now) so I would think something changed.

May be my car was part of the cut off before the change. Mine is also a 14.

Legal advice and representation is tax deductible for business , so they don't care.
But for us mere mortals it can be very expensive.
It sure helps when relatives are lawyers and audit accountants.

bitch more. My dealer didn't want to fix it. I called Toyota customer service and opened a ticket with them. They had my dealer replace all of it.

I also have this issue. I brought it to the Subaru Dealer and they took a look at it and snapped some pictures. A week later the service rep called me to let me know that they will be replacing the rusted parts and that a Subaru engineer will be on site to oversee the repair and give a report to Subaru. This will help determine if they need to make it a TSB. My car is schedule to have this done in 2 weeks from today. I'll update you with the outcome.

Little update on my case. I dropped off my car yesterday. They worked on it today and apparently the Subaru engineer was present and took pictures of the whole thing. On a side note they also told me that they need to replace the window trim plastic clips which they do not have in stock so it was ordered. They will be keeping the car until Tuesday. This is what they have me driving until then 2015 Impreza 2.0i Sport Premium. Its pretty nice
