From my limited understanding, there is so much that affects valve float that it is very possible this motor can spin up to OVER 9,000! RPMs safely due to the other variables. Would I trust my own motor up that fast or ever tell someone to do it? Of course not, unless they are doing it with the know fact that they might break it.

8000 is indeed high, balls of steel mate :-) Interested to know the dyno correction factor as well. What value should be used on a dyno jet?

Not balls of steel. I just trust my tuner. He's been working on tons of cars and has been very well regarded by the car commnity here. Plus, his own 86 is doing close to 400whp with 8200 rpm cut off. He's been running it close to a year now and has no issues. Check out speedworks, he does my tuning.

If you look at the chart, it hit 300whp way before 8000rpms. It easily does 290whp at 7400 and 300whp at 7600. Given that, will I still continue to shift at 8000rpm? Probably not, since there's not a lot more power that can be gained going 8000. But, at least I have an 8000 rpm cut off just in case.

Will post the complete pic of the dyno chart when I get back.

Would also like to see correction factor. And that seems odd that you ran out of fuel at such a low RPM...

Here is the dyno sheet:

My fuel was below 1/4. Could this be the reason?

Btw, I'm running 265/35/18 tires at the rear. I know tire size is a factor on a dynojet.

I wonder what would have happened if i had reved to 8000. and not 7400 i was under the impression 8000rpm pulls were overeving stock internals.
