Well we have our lowering plates which lower 3/8inch and if you use the WL ball joints you will be fine. 20mm isnt much and unlike many companies who will SLAM this car AND not increase the rates enough...we made sure we increased the rates and stayed well within the shocks ability to control the springs. The development was our normal process for lowering springs, establish what the damping range is for the shocks, stay within that range, lower the car and retain as much bump travel as possible with the use of shorter/firmer bump stops. Having access to the oem shocks and springs a undisclosed amount of time ago was the biggest help.

If you have a sporting cup kit or a decent set of coilovers available ( a corner balance would be great), I'll be up to your place very shortly after I get my BRZ!

Another great read! Thank you for focusing on the true performance of this car. Now I just need to see a comparison between it and all the "old sports cars" that they're trying to get enthusiasts out of! I'd like to see it stack up against a Mazda RX-7 Turbo II, MX-5 Miata, Nissan 240SX, Datsun 240Z (hey, why not?) Toyota MR2 and MR2 Spyder, Celica GT-S, Honda S2000 and BMW 325iS. Oh, and of course, the original AE86 Corolla GT-S!

Quick Q:

Did you hear rocks and/or gravel in the wheel wells inside the cabin? I've been hearing them on some driving tests...

Awesome review btw

What I liked about this is that the 2714 figure with the spare removed is for a Limited trim car. The Premium should come in about 16 pounds less, putting it at less than 2700 lbs. Add in a lighter exhaust, possibly a lighter battery, and you're not doing too badly with a full tank of gas.

I can see autocross cars (STX or STR, who knows) coming in very light, but I don't know how much the stock wheels weigh to make a guess as to how much weight 245mm wide tires and 9" wheels would add back to the car.

You should be able to save 2-3lbs a corner with lighter forged 17x9's... So it would depend on the added tire weight..

Maybe removing audio/speakers, rear seats, manual booklet (1lb), and going to the gym might help too
