Thanks!
From everything I've read, it sounds like a lighter wheel doesn't yield any real world difference in handling/how the car feels.

Also if you like the 57drs check out Rota grids. Sorry if that's been mentioned I haven't read the whole thread.

Have you considered these?

You might be risking some performance, but hey! Always bet on black right? lol

Yeah I saw grids, but there's just something about them that I don't like, maybe it's the finish, or slightly different angles... I can't pinpoint it.

I'm really just going back and forth between the 57DR's and the RPF1's in Gunmetal now...

How about Rays 57Xtreme? Those are what I'm going with. Winning Blue FTW.

Can't go wrong with either, but the RPF1's will be much cheaper, and you can put that money you saved towards other upgrades if you have other plans! RPF1s seem to be a popular choice on these forums for good reason. Form, function, and cost. Normally you only pick 2 of those when it comes to wheels, you don't get all 3. GL

Hahaha, it's the "form" part that I'm not too crazy about for the rpf1's.

Haven't seen any pictures of an Asphalt BRZ with the gunmetal rpf1 - that's why I'm so hesitant.

Also the gunmetal doesnt look the same shade as other gunmetals

Yeah, they're more of a hyperblack than gunmetal. And I agree it's very subjective, I think they look alright but I like the volks the most out of what you're deciding between. I think the simple 5/6 spoke wheels really compliment the lines of this car.

I was having the same dilemma as you between Rota RT5's and 57DR's.
I like the look of the 57DR's over the other ones listed. The RPF1's are light and a little more budget friendly, but I feel you on they look goofy.
As for the arguments over Rota, yes they might be knockoff designs, but as much as I would love to have $3500 TE37's, they aren't practical.

It really all comes down to what you are willing to spend, is spending an extra $100 a wheel a huge issue with the 57DR? Also depends on what your want the wheels for: performance, looks, or a mix of both.

If you can afford the 57DR I don't see why not. If it is a stretch go with the RPF1's for function.
