If I could have top spec and change from 43k I'd be happy otherwise I'll take a base model and mod to my taste with the savings from not paying for top spec. So many companies have products either on the design table or already made. Paying top $$ is boarder line madness. Each too their own I guess.

Aren't HID's standard across all?
If not, you will never legally get them fitted cheap. The HID housings have a leveling motor, and there needs to be a washer on the bumper as well. The housings will not be cheap, and the sensor might not be internal At this point I want the aero minus the wing, I want that undertray if it's full length

Low spec will probably be like FRS so no HID. Still projectors tho.

Yeh no projectors is a buzzkill. Hopefully HID's is an option for the base model though and not a $1000 option either.
HID's may not be legal but as long as you have projectors (not reflectors) and aren't using some stupid 12000 Kelvin Color temperature and stick with 4300 or 6000 then you should be safe. |

HIDs are worth the extra coin. They are SO much better at night, casting clean smooth light. Where as Halogen projects a blur, which in turn causes drowsiness and sore eyes for everyone.

They make a huge difference in night time visibility.
To me anyway

I'll admit that I don't have the best vision so my eyes can certainly do with the support of brighter lights at night. HID's makes a world of difference to me but I guess it's personal preference.
The bonus is that it makes the car look pretty neat too! From AND function! |

It's actually the reflectors that create the blur as light is dispersed all over as opposed to light being 'projected' through a lens.

Projector halogens are better than reflectors, but still weak

Agreed! Though projector halogens usually are still not of the same quality of HID's. Either way perhaps a retrofit with some better quality projectors is on the cards. Would have to test out the HID's on the 86 though.
For crying out loud just get a demo car in so we can demo the sh!t out of it!
