waiting for an actual production version to be released...if there are halos....HECK NO...if that lower LED strips is there...HECK NO. Would rather keep the stock lights then add that stuff. Is it more then likely that theyll keep these?

Also, are the housings made of hard plastic or are they actually glass? I'm assuming plastic because it's cheaper, but just thought I'd ask.

Added. Plastic. Just how it is these days. I think with the give plastic has, they are less likely to crack. It's been a while since I've had a vehicle with glass lamps.

Even the LED replacement headlights we used in our HMMWVs had plastic lenses.

edit: just saw there will be a brz model. potentially interested in the black ones

I would be sold on these if they didn't have to be retrofitted for HID's. don't know why they are made only for halogen. BRZ comes stock with HID's. Shouldn't have to pay more for something I already have.

I don't think they could get them DOT approved with HIDs. I don't know of many aftermarket HID headlights.

Most people will replace them with Plug and Play kits as shown in the picture in the OP. I'm not sure how exactly the BRZ version will be setup at this point.
