I've been running stock for over a year, partially because of budget, and partially because I thought that if I did run into any major 'first model year' snags, I wanted the car to be stock if I took it in for warranty work.

Now that I've had the car for more than a year, and over 15,000 miles, I'm looking at modding it. I have a fairly short list right now. ABM exhaust, tune, drop in filter, lowering springs, clear sides, and the Spyder tail lights.

I dropped in a K&N air filter, that's probably the only mod I'm going to do cause I use the car as a daily driver. I might start trying out autocross but even then I'll probably just leave it stock.

So far, it looks like it is just you (Symmetrical), Paros28, and Chee-Hu, posts #1, #8 and #27 respectively. ------So far.
We'll see what happens but I am not holding my breath.

mmhmmm. Thats how it always starts. Just an exhaust. Well.....maybe just springs to even out the drop.

On the BRZ, I have decided to not BS myself with the "I'm not going to mod this one," and just add small, clean mods!

I am trying to stay mostly stock as well. So far I have just added a rear-diffuser and changed out the stock exhaust tips to something larger, tinted the windows, added a clear bra for the hood, bumper, and mirrors, and changed the stock antenna to a shorty. The only other change I have planned is to replace the amber side markers to clear. Might upgrade the speakers down the road.

I was thinking about changing out the stock rims, but I actually like them and don't see the point right now. Maybe later.

I like it stock. In fact, next week I'm gonna take off my Michelin PSS and reinstall stock wheels/rubber.

Stock, will add high end exhaust at a later date even though the USDM models should have come with larger exhausts.

I loved my car stock.
I love it even more every time I do something new to it to make it my own.

Thank you for the posts guys, it does give me some insight. I guess I should have mentioned in my previous car history every single one of my car have been modified. Heck, even my wife's '08 Acura MDX is modified cosmetically to the way I want it.

But for some reason I have not much desire to mod out the my own BRZ. I feel it like OEM just feels so right. I guess I'm just going through a different phase.

Of course though everyone is entitled to do anything they want with their own cars, and I love some of the setups you guys have out there, and the modding community is alive and kicking! But it sort of reminds me about EVOs or NSX's. You can rarely find any of those in stock trim and when I do find a stock one, its more appealing to me.

So you're saying there will be fewer stock than I could even imagine?

Makes me even happier in my decisions.

I did hear that KW V3's are supposedly better ride quality-wise because of superior damping. I can tell you that my Eibach Sportlines do not make the ride better. Not with stock struts, anyway.

I'm keeping mine mainly stock, however I have added a few things such as a Reverse Camera, Larger Exhaust Tips, Subwoofer, Tinted Windows, and Shark Fin Antenna. Very minor upgrades I think.
