Then put your stock pulley back on and quit whining lol it's obviously a known "issue" if you would like to call it that put I don't see it affecting the performance or causing any problems as far as how the car drives in fact I'm sure many like the sound of it

OK buddy. Also, reread my post. It isn't my car.

Mine has had a slight whine since putting it on 4k miles ago. Belt still looks fine, and car has been running great.

It's normal.

installed mine today and sure enough there is a whine starting at about 2500 RPM and goes away around 3K. Not annoying enough to bother me and I knew about the issue as I read this thread before installing so I'm happy with the product, especially cause I got it at a great price.

pretty sure the noise is just due to the fact that the pulley itself is obviously lighter and has less mass and possibly also cause it doesnt have holes in it like the perrin and others. as the air spins up behind it it'll create a higher pitch sound than the stock one due to the difference in mass/weight. I've had mine on for a month or so and it's awesome

Issues/Sound

Does anyone know if there is a YouTube video or something showing the sound? Can someone post an update of if this is chewing through belts? I have had mine for a bit but I am reluctant to install, I may go with Perrin if these are chewing through belts.

Thanks guys!

I've got about 6000 kms on mine, the belt is fine so far. The noise is hardly noticeable.

I can make a video of mine later. I've had mine on for a week and been checking the belt every couple days looks fine. You just have to make sure it's lined up correctly before you start the car. Honestly, I think the sound is cool. Kinda sounds like a twin screw supercharger.

Thank you both!

Tim that would be awesome, I am just curious to know what the sound is like just so I have an idea of what is "normal" when I have mine installed.

Really appreciate it, keep the updates coming if have the pulley and high miles !

I asked kartboy about the noise and they also believe its just the way the air moves behind it. The air moving against the lighter pulley with the particular shape of it just makes that whistling whining noise. Ive had it on for 3k miles now with no issues
