Reactions to your BRZ

The first couple of week I had it, I was at a gas station, two guys who seemed to be from out of town came up and started asking questions. They liked the way it looked so I opened the door so they could see the interior and the one said "it looks like a race car in there". Then the other said "this thing is fast right, turbo AWD? I said "no, it's about as fast as my old civic si." That guy leaves disappointed i guess and the other guy says asks much it costs and I tell him 25.5 and he was pretty amazed.

I went to pickup some winter wheels from a guy off of NASIOC a few weeks ago. He sees it and starts talking about it. One of the first things that's comes outta his mouth is "I heard they are doing a turbo diesel AWD version."

Other tan those two instances, I'm really impressive with the fact that everyone that see it is positive about it. I really thought there would be more negative comments on it. Bar far and away though, every loves the color.

I think the reason most are impressed with it is because it just looks so damn good in person. I've had a couple people ask me if I'll turbo it. Other's said that I wasted my money and could have gotten something faster. But the majority of comments have been positive.

The best one I've had so far, I was at this gas station and someone on an Indian motorcycle came in just to talk to me. First thing he said to me was "I didn't think Subaru had it in them". He was really impressed by it, tried to get me to trade for his bike haha.

I've had the car for almost a month now. I've had quite a few positive reactions so far. Went to a gas station late one night after a long drive and when I came out, about 5 people, all of varying ages were standing around it.
Older Gentleman: Beautiful car sir. Is it fast?
Me: Not really, but it handles like it's on rails.

Teenager and his girlfriend: Sweet ride. Rear-wheel drive, right?
Me: Indeed. It's a lot of fun.

Douchebag with a porsche: You overpaid for that turd.
Me: Let me guess, your beetle is an automatic?
Douchebag's wife: Hahaha.....
It was.....
Gas station attendant: Mind if I get a photo?
Me: Not at all.

The other day....

Cop: You know why I pulled you over?
Me: No front plate? I'm seriously planning on getting a mounting bracket, I just haven't....
Cop: Bingo. But it would look stupid. Just put it in your front window and you are good. Put those felt things you use on the bottom of furniture in the corners so it doesn't scratch or rattle. That's what I do. Drive safe.
Me: Thank you sir.

The only time I've ever gotten this many compliments/attention was when I borrowed my brothers 69 Camaro SS in high-school. I'm guessing as more get on the road, the popularity will fade. Enjoying my 15 minutes while it lasts lol
