Reactions to your BRZ

Does anyone have any funny stories of strangers asking you questions about your BRZ? I can't get gas without someone coming up and asking me a question. Ive had this car for almost a year and I can't think of a time where I got out and someone doesn't ask me about it. Yesterday a GT-R rode behind me and was revving his engine (extremely loud btw. good god.) and all I kept thinking was "your car would wipe the floor with mine.... Why bother?" Maybe it's because my car is WRB or as old people call it "electric blue". People seem to think its some exotic car or something. Maybe because the subarus are rarer? Idk.

I have the Rocketbunny kit on mine which makes it look much, much more exotic and aggressive. Constantly have heads turning around everywhere I go. Last night some friends and I parked up next to a place and a table near the front of the restaurant said "Is that a Ferrari?" It was dark, so you couldn't see the badges clearly, but I know the feeling man.

Some people think its a Porsche or a Maserati. I have had one prius driver who was waiting for my parking spot wave me down and talked to me for ten minutes about it. I had a 2013 porsche owner stop me in a parking garage and ask me about it, called it beautiful and said he'd never seen one before. He couldn't believe how much it cost.

Edit: Honorable mention to to the highschool kids that tailgate me in their trucks on the mountain road home. I make sure to go 29mph instead of 30mph because I dislike immature highschoolers that tailgate.

I've had people in Aston Martins and Jaguars give me thumbs up :D
and I've seen a few people do walk arounds of my car with their camera phones in hand.

It's like, why can't you have a nice looking car that's also affordable?

BRZJonny 07-02-2013 04:50 PM

I tell them it's 100k and they can't afford one...

I had someone ask me last week if it was "the new Porsche". I told him no, it is a Subaru :)

Brzetto 07-02-2013 05:38 PM

More than you can afford pal, Subaru. J/K

I get tons of thumbs ups and nods and questions. When I tell them it's less than 30k, I see the wheels turn in their minds...

Every state is different. Mine was $29,200 or so out the door.

33k out the door here. I didn't do so well... but I do have warranties and XM radio for 7 years. *shrug*

I haven't had too many people ask about it, and those that have already know what it is. Oregon is weird.

A lot of turning heads and people repeatedly changing lanes to see all sides of it. I have a few kids turn point, grab their parents around and freak out. They seem to be getting very common so I dont expect it to last.
