So i need input!!! thanks.
Here's the question you need to ask yourself:

Will you be happy downgrading the surgical precise handling, fun factor, outstanding driving position, responsiveness, several thousand dollars on the trade-in and purchase of a new vehicle etc in order to get more power?

It will cost you a lot of money to get the type of power at the wheel of a twin. I would go test drive a Mustang GT and then add mods to it if you still crave power. Get a Mustang GT with the track pack and you should be under $30K. I would take one over a Camaro anyday.

that is the question i am asking. Im a big guy, the camaro had a better driving position for me. Although you make the question sound a little worse, even though it means the same

LOL. If he owns or has owned a Camaro and now has a FR-S what does that tell you? Perhaps it says there's more pleasure to be taken from driving a slow car quickly than there is driving a fast car slowly.

I've owned a 2010 Camaro 2SS and then bought a used C6 for $25k a year later...the Camaro sat and I sold it. If you want power less 600lbs get a used C6 and slap an A&A supercharger on it. To me the Camaro suspension felt sloppy and to get the suspension right it would cost over $4k...my C6 with Z51 suspension package felt perfect for me...just my $.02

Well I think people need 500whp in a daily driver like people need busa's and ZX14's on The street..

Like the guy who said unless your on a race track or drifting around every corner the FRS isn't practical.. Well if your not drag racing at every light then why do you need "passing" power.. This car has as much power as 4cyl non turbo charged sporty car that's been out for the last 10 years or so.. About 200 and for me it's more then enough.. But that me.. I get close to 40 mpg on the highway back and forth to Victorville Cali and Vegas.. I get 34-35 in city..

That said there are times I wouldn't mind extra power.. But not enough that I'm trading or selling just yet.. I am waiting for the new Nissan to come out.. Rumors say 250+ and six speed and limited slip diff.. Just as light as the Twins..who knows.. But I've driven 400-500 WHP cars and its just to much.. But alas it's just my opinion.. I think people getting things like that, are the same as the ones that get the big bore bike.. To win the war of who's ****s bigger..

I think you should absolutely get another car if you want more power, just not a camaro. They are slow fat pigs. There are just so many better options out there. A Mustang will at least keep somewhat in a car that can handle. The camaros look cool, but I have a friends husband who sells them and doesn't like them at all. I get nothing but negative comments from them, but with mustangs, I get very few.

If you are willing to pay for a little maintenance and wanna keep the price about the same as an FRS, but with more power and similar handling, get an E46 M3.

Oh, heavens sake, cjdriiiiift, you gave your car a good go and had some fun.

It might be time "for a change" and the Camero is a good car.

So, I'd recommend you go for it!

Love this thread. Whatever floats your boat. I think the Camaro SS does look badass in black. I, however, just came from a boat and don't want to go back to one. I'd rather get a used Corvette like a C5Z. In the meantime, I'm waiting for Innovative and Vortech to get CARB. Then I'll think seriously about power.

If you don't mind giving up great handling, then go for it!

wish they didn't screw up the styling..they could have kept up with Ferrari, they didn't.
