I wouldn't worry about it, he did not hammer it from the looks of it, revving a little higher then he needed, but not exactly redlining or going hard in the corners or on the brakes.

I had an experience like this at a Tire Warehouse, only they told me that they noticed my Camaro SS had considerable wheel hop... and I should get it taken care of. I'd like to know how they figured that one out on a gentle test ride! I took that up with the manager and got a small discount...

So if they had returned the car to you without test driving it and there was say...a vibration when driving after. Wouldn't you be more upset that you had to go back than to have them test drive it the first time and make sure everything was right?

If you (or anyone here for that matter) is so paranoid just ask them to let you ride along if the car is to be test driven.

The foolproof course of action would have been if the technician had brought the customer along.

I prob should have mentioned they never even did the alignment, when I went to pick it up they gave me a coupon to come back and get it done.

Took them 3hrs to put my tires on, had the car for over 6 hours total. I dont know much about tire mounting but 225.35.18 on a 19.5 x 18 rim cant be easy.

Slow controlled turns...if he wanted to joyride I'd think he'd take that big turn after the speed bump a little quicker. According to the time it was around 6pm when your car was tested? What time does this place close? I'd say they wanted to make sure you didn't get 5 minutes down the road and have an issue. I'd probably test the last car of the day too.

Those wheels look awesome..which wheel are they?

You put performance tires on your car. Testing required some mild "peformance" driving. He/Se wasn't testing all seasons on a Forester. Give them a break. Test driving could reveal a problem before the installation is complete.

This is True. Even without Alignment done, the car will need a test drive. Well basically every time you Mess with Wheels and tires, it affect your drive ability. That is why they need a test drive. Because new Tires require new Balance. New Balance require new Alignment and will affect the ride. The same thing as Summer tires vs Winter tires !

My advise to you is to have your alignment done ASAP as well. Long term affect on skipping out alignment = BAD! very BAD!

Also trust me on this. No auto shop like to test drive a customer car. What if they cause an accident, or they got hit by some body at fault ? It will be a big mess. That is why every Auto Shop is very Strict on Test drive, unless Necessary.

You can have what people suggested you. To be sure, Ask them when they test drive the vehicle, let you ride in it as well.

On the other hand, Nice wheels, Nice color combination. I like it a lot !!

Avatars like this are why I think it should be a requirement to have a full size copy of your avatar on your member's page.
