I don't think it's because their cars are dull. I think it's a change in philosophy. They are no longer concentrating on making the best cars like they used to. They are now all image focused and sales focused instead of car focused. This philosophy change may also be the reason their cars have become so dull and boring. They don't car about the cars anymore. They expect their reputation to carry them like GM did many decades ago. They are paying the price for loosing sight of the objective: to make good quality cars.
