All cars seem to be going this route. The Ford Fusion (looks like the front of an astin martin and evo), the Genesis Coupe also has the huge plastic across the front. etc etc etc

Its a bumper, not sheet metal. It's probably gonna be removed anyways.

I bet there will be plenty of after market grils that will replace the plastic bumper, maybe even give the whole front black grill area a single uniform look.
