I'd be fine with only 40-50hp more honestly. But it would have to drop to 2600lbs while still keeping AC and some form of an audio system (but a more basic one obviously).

I honestly don't have any faith in Subaru doing so. I expect them to go one of two ways:

1. Turbo and power, plus 100-200lbs ADDED minimum.
2. Same power (or very slight bump), 50-75lbs less.

Both having bigger brakes, stiffer suspension, aero bits, etc.

What if instead of dropping the weight they just made the seat heaters warmer?

I could do that myself by increasing the voltage. Might start a fire, but heck then my butt would be really toasty!!!!

If you look back at this history of auto racing I believe the first fire suits were developed by Sparco to combat this very problem.
