it's ok @RAN94A, i still get free servicing..
but yeah, freakin expensive, it was for 4 though, and they look nice apart from wearing out. wasn't the most anally penitrating product i bought with the car though

ahh yea, we have that in the 86's underneath the rubber matt there's what is essential a real estate sign with carpet covering (y'know that corrugated plastic.)
Of course mine has a hole in the middle of whereas your shiny one you paid for covers the spare right? go down to bunnings and grab some stick on velcro. should hold it in place and still easily removable.

best outcome would be for toyota to realise they dun goofed on the floor mats and provide a revision that has either longer lasting material of a thickened heel pad. like below
