Two questions:
1) How did you obtain the parts? I take it you just went to the dealership, showed them the TSB, asked them to order the parts and told them that you were going to fix it yourself.

2) How long and how complicated was doing the switch?

Sparks did mind in a matter of minutes and it is working perfectly and saved me from having to reprogram my audio presets.

Sparks works for a dealer if I'm not mistaken.

My signal gets dropped all the time, I'm really glad it's getting done. Does anyone have a pic of the repair bracket? My car has this TSB open on it but suprisingly not the ECU Recall (even though my car meets all the vin, emissions, and state-specific criteria.) I'm really glad I gave the dealer by my job a second chance the first service rep was horrible. Not suprisingly when I went back 3 weeks later he wasn't there. Now my new rep and the service manager rock. I call them up they'll run my vin and they're really friendly and accomodating.

That state-specific recall made no sense to me, why does their recall have only a few states? Cars in other states surely have the same logic in the ECU.

I stopped by dealer today and they happily ordered parts for the TSB.

The service manager said it was cars equipped with California emissions

If your softawre version is 1003, yes you can use the TSB information for the 1004 update

Does you GPS lose reception? If not - you need nothing.

Same here, but I'm going in on Friday regarding the fuel pump TSB and see if I can twist their arm.
