So you're spouting off about shit you know nothing about. They were probably going to put cuffs on him until they figured out what was going on. It's for their safety as well as the safety of everyone else around the scene.

And I'm not a cop. You're just assuming, like that other guy...

This, would be a good reason to get a dash cam for your car. 100% proof you didn't do it.

Agree. I wouldn't be surprised if the automakers started putting them in cars. Between crazy road rage, rogue cops, and situations such as this, I can definitely see the need...

You didn't read the OP's original post and then proceed to accuse the cops of being rude, illegally searching his car, and cuffing him...all of which didn't happen.

"officer safety"...lol, another one straight outta the textbook. That's why they shoot dogs so often. You guys have no idea of the serious injuries a chihuahua can cause.

I could smell cop from your first reply to me. I have good reason to distrust them, I've been a victim of it first hand. Unfortunately my incident occurred long before everybody had a super phone, and police dashcams were still kind of new.

lol...well, once again you are wrong. I'm not a cop. Have you never heard the term "officer safety"??? It's not exclusive to cop stuff...just normal parts of the English language...

And I certainly do know the damage Chihuahua's can inflict...I have 4 of them...this one is particularly vicious...

Let's say the dealer's clean up guy had left a bit of grass in there. Explain that to the judge. Allowing cops to search without a warrant is almost never a good idea. In the case you just described, the cops are not your friends. They're looking for a bust, and they will bust you if they can.
good advice here. if ever asked to step out of the car, always lock the door behind you.

Yeah...they are terrors!

On a more serious note...I really try not to get worked up when I sense some "cop bashing" going on. I'm not a cop, but my Dad was. He died after sustaining injuries while making an arrest. I was only 10 years old, so I suppose I'm a little bitter about having to grow up without a Dad due to some shitbags who were up to no good...I realize not all cops are model citizens, but they're not all bad...

sounds like a dirty way for the cops to check out your car. At least they didn't import it and take it for a spin.

Texas cops are ****s. I have had my fair share of run in's with the law that were those wrong place at the wrong time type of thing. Heck I used to get pulled over every Friday night around 2am by the same cops at the same spot for a good two years. I knew the drill; get out open the door and let them search my truck for about an hour or two then go on home. Nothing I could do about it since I left school and would head to my parents house and that was the only way I could go. Even got pulled out of the car at gun point a few times. I guess they thought I was a drug runner.

I'm glad I didn't get pulled over Friday night while driving from Houston to Uvalde. I just got 5% tint in the rear of the vehicle and a car comes up to me. I can only see the headlights (even with the rear view mirror not flipped). It gets kinda close and I'm going around an 18 wheeler with another vehicle directly in front of me. I'm thinking to myself, if this person gets any closer, I'm going to have to brake check him.

Well once I get a little past the 18 wheeler, the lights flip on. I thought I was a goner. I immediately move over and TWO cop cars roll up on the next vehicle. Same thing. At least it wasn't just me. No one could tell they were cop cars.
