I took my car in for tail light condensation. When I got it back there was a dent in the trunk. Got it fixed, but guess what. Tail light condensation in the replacement. FML

You live in the area, do you think it's possible to average 60mph during the course of only 1 hour in the area surrounding the dealership? They also would have had to leave almost immediately after you left it with them.
He said 100km

I think I have you guys all beat. I had almost 50 pages of Service Records for my Cobalt SS.

Brought it in due to a issue with the turbo, got it back and one of the headlights had condensation build up. Took it back in and got it back with a scuffed up front bumper and the other headlight with condensation build up. Brought it and got it back with a nicked rim, (they were aftermarket O.Z. Ultraleggera rims). In the mean time, my e-brake stopped working. Took a month and a half of taking it in to get them to finally fix it correctly. Followed by another month or two, finally got the rim replaced. But seriously, my car was in the service department at least once a month and this car was brand new. Last November/December, it was in the shop for an entire month Oh, and the turbo issue was never fixed. Every now and then, the turbo would either not spool or only spool to 5 PSI (it was suppose to be able to spool to 22 PSI. I had the GMS1 upgrade installed, which I believe is when all my turbo problems started, granted, the dealership was the one that installed it).

Sorry to hear your story man. I've learned from my past experience that on the day that you buy the car, you should ask the saleman to introduce you to the best service writer and technician in the shop. He will because you just made him commission. Be friend with those people from day 1 and you will avoid the PITA later.

I did just that, so when I rolled in at 1003 miles for my break in oil change, the service writer hooked me up with a wink. I told him I don't mind paying since clearly it says 5000 miles is when the first oil change due, he waved me off. Then when the master technician called me saying that they don't have the oil filter yet cause it was so new (I was first 86 winner so the car was released to public for only a week or two at that time), I asked him nicely to help me out, he said no problem, and ordered filers from the nearby Subaru dealer to use in my car.

Same thing happened when it comes to the tail light condensation. Brought in, they wrote the ticket, didn't even have to say anything about warranty, they will call me when the part is in for replacement.

Lesson learned? Pick a big dealer, make friend with the guys there, especially the one who also cares about cars enough to know our car and you will have a much better experience.

When I scheduled my first oil change (at 3750 because the maint schedule wasn't confirmed when I bought the car so Subaru followed some other one) and the dealership overnighted the filter because they didn't have one and knew they would need it. That was with the one day notice I gave them for the oil change.

They've done the second one at ~8000 miles on the car with no problems. Since they now how I am and what I use the car for they ask if I want them to do other items like tire rotations (I do them myself anyways), check brakes (carbotechs and blue brake fluid probably isn't subaru spec ), etc.

So I've had great luck with my dealership, but sadly they can't help you Scion people
