I don't much care who did what. My main hope is the collaboration that produced this car does not sour over the years and jepordize the continuation of its development.

It would be a very sad day if this joint effort breaks down and, since two companies had a hand in making the car, it dies along with the project. Just like Diddy Kong Racing!!

Sorry, I got off track there.

I couldn't care less if Tata Motors designed it and it was made by Yugo. As long as it's warranteed by Toyota, they will be the ones on the hook if I have any problems. After the sticking gas pedal debacle a couple years ago, I doubt Toyota will risk their already dented reputation by putting their name on a sub-quality product, so it must meet their standards, so as far as I'm concerned, it's worth risking my money on, and I did,
excellent point!

We should all agree on is it's a great collaboration.
i agree! could end up being one of the best engineered and built production cars ever conceived!

Couldn't agree more. If Subaru was behind this it would basically be a 2 door WRX.

Also, let's look at the sheer numbers. Subaru has what, 8 cars in its line-up? Toyota (not including Lexus or Scion) has 15+. Gee, I wonder why Subaru is building it in their factories?

I guess we could say that Toyota is the daddy and Subaru is the mommy.

After all, Toyota provided the "seed" in terms of concept, design (DNA), etc., and with Subaru DNA (boxer engine) but it was all made in Subaru's tummy (factory).
