For real. Also a tiny bit of rollback is fine no one's judging you ppl don't even know manual cars exist anymore. Even the other way around.. a tiny bit of wheel spin is ok also... This hurts your clutch less than slipping it to hold yourself on a hill like a "good driver" anyway.

I like the hill assist. It only kicks in on super steep hills and I appreciate it. Don't have to rev as high, no fuss, no rollback. Just forward motion

hill assist helps if an asshole is parked up your butt on a steep hill. i'd much rather not let it roll back or burn the clutch so it's actually helpful. I have it on my lexus which is great in stupid cities like downtown san fran. I personally use the ebrake which works the same. no roll back and easy to use. and it's mechanical so I have full control. nothing wrong using it in a way that it works. those of you who say you don't need it probably live on a pancake and not in terrible cities with hills.
