Oh god green was right out of the question! Could have been the best car in the world and if it was green it would not have even had one microsecond of consideration.
Besides, I scored big time because the Subie pressure washer "Looks just like my car you should buy that"

Not just the colour really since they made the cover look like a little Subaru.

to put it simply, everything can be negotiated. Every options, accessory, and everything the finance person brings up can be negotiated. If you do it both politely and reasonably you can get good deals on everything, especially if it is towards the end of the month and the dealers have incentives they need to hit. Especially today, everything these dealers do is based on incentives from the factory it seems.

That's ignorant ....... the blinker system is a sealed hydraulic system and is a one time fill from the factory.

Oh, I hope the heck that you never have to have any warranty work done on the engine. You are on record as having the special break in oil changed before 7,500 miles .......

Buyer beware , In aus the dealer extended warranty/fixed price servicing is not.
They always come up with some bulldust about taxes/government/enviro to increase the price.
However it might be worth enduring the pain , if a warranty claim is successful.

The only way to discover the "market value" price of a car is to put the transaction out to bid. Specify the car and all options and ask for "drive out price". Deal with the internet sales team only.

There has been a change in the car cost structure in the last several years. Invoice used to be 10-13% less than MSRP. now I see 7%. Dealer holdback was 2-3%. Buying services have always been a joke. I can do much better on my own. There appears to be lots more manufacturer money as rebates to dealers who are exceeding sales numbers. The only way to flush out the hidden cash is to put it to bid. I did this a couple months ago when I bought my wife's car.

I like to do my own maintenance, and negotiated for "garage price" on parts. Typically adds up to 15% off or so. Doesn't sound like much...until you start buying TRD parts.
