I'm a bit surprised they aren't loading the roof down with their roof tile tech to pull some solar power and increase range as well. Isn't it supposed to follow the sun?

Walmart's announcement doesn't surprise me, and it really means nothing at this point. With over 6,000 trucks they are always looking for the next great thing. Heck, they've been working on it themselves.

He didn't talk much about the box size truck they showed either. That would seem to be a true win there.
It doesn’t surprise, but this may accelerate electric adoption and implementation. If it proves profitable to switch to electric then everyone will switch. The price of diesel dropping would be the only thing to contest the complete takeover of the industry. That and an oversupply of used diesel trucks.

Obviously 15 is to test viability. If viable then all might be replaced in short time.

Ps: they are offering a million mile warranty. Obviously not a complete warranty on everything but they are standing by their product.

Don’t agree with you here... simple question is if Tesla is a bad investment then what are the alternatives?
His investors are taking a certain amount of risk, but there isn’t anyone in the world at the moment doing what they are with electric only vehicles.

Musk is launching rockets even though many said he’d never do it... and he’s doing so far cheaper then the established companies ever thought possible.

Those ridiculous performance numbers aside, the roadster looks elegantly understated, very clean design. I would buy it.

But I think that truck is the more important product there, potentially a game changer. I will be watching with excitement. Elon Musk is the guy to follow. He is already a historical figure.

Maybe. But when it comes to trucks... Nikola One google that. Wonder who stole it first?

Tesla planned a truck before Nikola plagerized the name and idea but who really cares? That’s business.

I think what he was saying is that the stock is overvalued. It is bloated beyond the value of the company or projected profits for like fifty years or something. It would be like paying for today’s price of Apple stock with 1980’s profits and valuation. Serious investors are holding onto the stock out of pure speculation on market interest from small investors. What Azz was saying is that if the bubble bursts then the stock could plunge. That stock devaluation/loss may not phase the company or it could.

I think Musk is growing his business to beat to market the semitruck, battery, charging network and solar market, so that even if his competition creates some electric cars, his business is setup to explode when full electric adoption reaches the S-curve of critical mass.

I see an automotive company specializing on electric cars releasing a truck. The idea is simple there is nothing to steal. What matters, as I see, is execution. We are talking about a guy who landed rockets, produced and sold electric cars with several hundred miles range. These are things that couldn't be done by Ford, GM, Boeing, Lockheed, and NASA combined. I think he will do this too while landing his rockets on Mars.

.
Telsa isn't the only company tinkering with electric semi trucks.

Volvo is the more realistic answer at this current time for long haul deliveries.
