another update regarding the high-idle issue. my TPS sensor will not calibrate into spec, and it appears to be the problem with my idle. spec is .4-.5V and mine will only adjust down to 1.6V or so.

i tested my coolant temp sensor, and it changed resistance according to spec, and has good power and ground. what i did notice was some corrosion buildup on the terminals on the ECTS and the harness connector. i cleaned the corrosion off and it seems to be working properly now.

so it looks like i'll have to spend another $80 on a new TPS in addition to the $80 headlight switch. still fixed it right up for under $400, and it runs SO MUCH better now than when i got it, there's no comparison. completely different car now.

it'll be a while before i think about swapping it, but it's in the plans for down the road. i'll probably stick with a stock ECU, just because i want the factory reliability and driveability. my MR2 has an AEM EMS and while it is super handy, i don't plan on heavily modding the SR20 when it goes in.

my MR2 still takes priority, and will continue to do so until it's "finished." :happy0180:
