Did you double check after the oil change and make sure everything was okey-dokey under the hood? But going 1,000 miles with a majorly botched oil change would be pretty hard I'd think. It'll either be oil or fuel related most of the time. I can't see how the fuel system would rupture but if the oil filter wasn't put on right or a line torqued and broke that may do it since the header is not too far away. That said, the high pressure fuel pump is right in that area too.

The car is probably gone but if you can look around and see what the driver's side of the engine looks like maybe you'll find a clue there.

OK that was important info. Now I will say up front that analysing fires is actually a part of what I do for a living so I am not talking out of my ass on this subject.
Only have to one picture to go by but from what can be seen I will say with about 80% assurance that that is a gasoline fueled fire. The big telltale is the colour of the flames in the center and the relative lack of black smoke mixed with the flames. There is black smoke of course but that will be from the plastics and compounds in the bumper, hoses and such. If it was an oil fire (especially the synthetic) the flames would be a much deeper orange like those on the outside of the picture and there would be billowing black smoke swirling through the flames. With the very limited info and picture I don't think this is directly related to the oil change. Somehow something in the fuel system ruptured and the car was doomed.
This is not a common thing and yours is the only unmodded car I have heard of that this has happened to.
Now normally something like this means you are going to take the hit on the insurance unless you have a policy that covers replacement value. I would most certainly be contacting Toyota directly on this one though since they really need to know this happened. They may work with you on the lost money but nothing compels them to since that is what insurance is for.

Keep us informed and I wish you the best of luck in this.

Do you actually believe that your car could be repaired?
Don't dream about it - this car is totaled.

Pump, lines, injectors, fittings, manifold, or any other part that delivers the fuel. Pretty hard to tell where it came from with that extent of damage.

As hot as that fire clearly got, the oil cap most certainly melted.

I think Tcoat got it, I think it'll turn out to be gas leak started and fed.

I too have had this happen(prior scion tc)! I had oil all over my engine bay and the guy I had do it(never went back) just shrugged and said, sorry about that. And used a oil soaked rag to wipe it up... SIGH. I now always check my oil cap after that.

Yea, true. I forgot the original was plastic. I replaced mine with the GrimSpeed limited edition (metal) cap right after the car was released, and didn't think about that when I said it.
