The BRZ is my third car in 4 years, having gotten out of the prior two not by choice (first was totaled, not at fault, second had mechanical issues).
I usually keep my cars 4-6 years, but I look at the BRZ a little differently. I don't drive it every day, and it stays in the garage a lot in the winter. Right now I don't think about selling it. I look and read about other cars, but to be honest, there isn't much of anything I would rather have. Sure, a McLaren 570GT would be nice, but that isn't really in the cards right now.

I feel the same way. It doesn't need more power, unless you race it or wantonly break the law. The interior is purposeful, not cheap, besides, I'm driving it, not lounging in its luxury.

I am leaning towards forever at this point as well.

I have always been obsessed with great cars and the desire to own a ton of them but lately I have had the following thoughts floating around in my mind:

-Owning more cars means more things to maintain, more things to worry about (vandalism, parking them safely) more thing to insure, etc

-BRZ opened my eyes to how much fun a great driver's car can be without a ton of power/speed, and how you don't really need that if you aren't going to the track

-BRZ is a ton of fun while being reliable and relatively less expensive to maintain/insure compared to what I would consider getting down the road

-Instead of saving then spending the money on faster and faster rides and their associated expenses (I would think down the line I would want a Porsche or M3 next) I could get more bang for my buck in terms of fun from getting into motorcycles

Random thoughts at the age of 26

I plan on keeping my BRZ for a very long time. Probably in the 7-10 year range or longer... any bad juju notwithstanding.

I plan on keeping my BRZ as long as possible. I have the automatic and it's both my daily driver and my autocross car.

I would sell it in a heartbeat, if I could find something I would enjoy more.
Since a driver's car like the BRZ is so rare, it looks like I will be keeping my BRZ for a long, long, time.

It is hard to say. On one hand, probably a long time because it does everything I need it to do. On the other, I did see that the Porsche dealer had a 2015 Cayman S in white sitting on the lot...

the longest i've owned a car was 3 years but I don't see myself getting rid of this one anytime soon. Only add more cars, that's always a good option
