if you're gonna spend money on a good suspension and a good tire, then might as well buy some good/light wheels to go with it.

I guess it's all about where you want to take the car, track car, drift car etc....

Spend 3/4 of the money on mods and the other 2k on a trip to enjoy the mods

just me, i feel like the difference between light weight wheels and the not as light rota would not really be apparent until i have some major power. rota is nice and cheap and they aint badly made either, i could put the money towards FI instead.

good and not so good Suspension is something that you can feel, vs $$$volks and rota isn't very noticeable when you are actually driving it

I also won't feel so bad when I eventually nick one of the wheels

just my logic…

Hold out till someone sells their turbo/sc car at a loss to them and use the 8k for the price difference between selling your car and their price. Seems like good deals pop up here and there. Just get it checked out first.

Why do people keep telling others to f-ing go to the track or all your car can do is track once you get a supercharger installed. Just let the guy do whatever he wants. Maybe he wants the quicker car just to get on on-ramps faster or to cut cars on the highway on a daily basis. All you track junkies need to chill it's not all about the grid life to people that want to enjoy the car on the streets.

What do you want from the car? More power? Better handling? Better interior/exterior? $8K seems like a lot on paper, but it is not. Especially if you are not mechanically inclined and want to add more power.

I love how this thread went from $8k in mods to what's the better use of $8k in real life. If OP wanted to invest money somewhere he'd go to investment forums. If he wanted to make a retirement plant he'd probably do that. If he wanted to spend his money on education he already probably considered that at one point. Last thing that anybody needs is to come to CAR forums and being told how to spend THEIR money. He asked us for MOD suggestions and not how to live his life suggestions. Get it together people.

This and some research will net you more smiles per gallon than a vague question.
