It just seems like the point of diminishing returns on the FA20 is right where I want the car to be at +400 and to even get there from where I'm at I estimate a built shorty, fuel supply, tune, to be an additional $4k.
Which at that point the initial SC build investment is only $4k away from a Sikky/GM Crate LS3 build. Hard to justify an unstable 400ish hp over spending $4k more on a rock solid 500ish hp.
You'll find that LS's and good lateral G's don't mix. The LS swaps are really only good for straight-line and very casual cornering. Anyone who says otherwise is likely leaving a lot of cornering force on the table, regardless of what they think, or have invested a not-so-insignificant amount of money into a proper dry sump.

The LT doesn't suffer from this.

Two quick questions:
1: Do the new Edelbrock kits ship with the upgraded bypass valve?

2: My tune is great except my cold-start RPMs seem high, no?

Having just got my kit two weeks ago I can confirm that it's the new BPV. I don't know what the production date on my kit is though.

I don't want to hold this thread hostage any longer but if you're telling me there's a large compromise for track ability when going to an LS swap I'm much more inclined to go the built engine path and just stick with the E-Force. Tracking this car and having a pure driving machine is my main goal.

I know you're reluctant to put a definitive statement on peak numbers as far as engine reliability goes. But what about the e-force efficiency. At what point is it just blowing hot air?

With the smaller pulleys offered by Edelbrock what's the highest power I could get out of their current options?

Is there anyone making big power (400ish whp) out of one of these e-force systems?

Gun to your head e-force or sprintex 335?

E-force all day.

I've seen TVS1320 FA20 motor cars go over 500whp for track use, but it won't last forever.

Having been out of the tuning seen for the last several years the use of e85 while I knew vaguely about it no one locally was using it due to its availability. (a 1.5 hour drive away)

It's become such a fundamental cornerstone to tuning these days I find it interesting how other community members and such offhandedly just tell you to run it not realizing the accessibility limitations to large swaths of the country.

The benefits certainly cannot be denied and in order for me to achieve the performance goals I have in mind I believe I'm going to have to figure out a means of transportation and storage of larger quantities especially for track events.

Updated previous install tips post and added a guide to installing Radium dual catch cans in this application, if anyone cares. I figure keeping it in this thread keeps the information in one place. I can take photos, too, if anyone is struggling.

If you have some pics of the PVC catch can install that would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

After running radium catch cans on my Edelbrock for the past 4 years, I bumped down to just one as the driver side piece never collected anything, even after track days. So rerouted the lines from the passenger side to the driver side and removed the hard to access one in front of the battery.

I just got my '13 BRZ out of storage again, and it's time for my first CA SMOG test.

Does Edelbrock still have the CARB tune available online? I am trying to track it down.

Additionally, I am working through two tanks of 91 before switching over from my Delicious E-85 tune. Running stock header and front pipe. However, I am running a larger fuel pump, injectors, and the E-85 kit is visible....what steps do I need to take other than switching to the CARB tune to ensure I pass?

Thanks for any assistance. Busy work month with little time to scour the interwebs.
