That's easy. Remember that paint mixer? I did all the closed-form solutions to verify the important pieces of a dynamic model of the whole machine right down to the gyroscopic effects of the internal components of the reduction drive.

Getting the unwashed masses to believe in the model is a different story. That's why I don't waste my time with the bullshit.
Yes, you are correct in what I am making. I am not familiar with, or forgetting about, this paint mixer.

Even if it's not 100% accurate, that looks awesome.

Ya I had to condense a large movie set into a small space but still maintain the overall look and feel so some detail had to go (such as one teeter totter instead of two and no mangled climber). Getting the paint layers to simulate the lighting was a first for me so I was worried it would look weird. That is hay I was looking for feed back before I gave it to my son who is a rabid Terminator geek. If it looked off even in the crappy pics I would have redone it in "real" colours.

If just looking at each individual part without adding the others then sure totally doable. The project is not how I first understood it to be.

I can not remember Stu's last user name. He was Stugray so some of it may be under that name. His work on this topic was impressive.
Didn't I quote his original statement? I went back and looked. Anyhow, even adding the contribution of individual components is doable. At some point, sure, you need a computer, but it's just more of the same stacked up.

Subaru will have all the baseline numbers but I doubt they will share.

@Notatroll ( obviously I remember his name wrong) had something that he was working on that was at least good in theory but he disappeared a while back.
If it was so hard to quantify why did THEY make him disappear?

Ok, the top story in yesterday's paper here. A 848 sqft 1 car garage home in Sunnyvale just sold for $2,000,000 cash. Insane.

Are they not building new homes? Or just no space for them?

No space. Super low inventory of homes for sale, and lots of people with goo gobs of money. They are dozing older shopping centers like crazy and building these crazy centers with high density housing, retail, and office space. It is getting very crowded.
