Scribing done. Put on the black accent lines. Dry fitted the spoiler and wheels to see how it will look. Can't wait to paint everything and get it done now!

Your doing it wrong then.

If your painting a car, how are you not using SATA RPS Cups or 3M PPS liners? Once you take the cup out of the equation clean up is just pouring some thinner in the opening while spraying and wiping the needle.

As for the airbrush... acrylics will always suck to clean but lacquer and enamel paints clean like a dream. Dump the paint, wipe the cup, fill the cup with thinner, spray a few times, cover the nozzle and spray (to back-purge the AB) and then spray some more thinner until what comes out is clean (usually 1-2 full cups.) With lacquer this is so efficient that you rarely need to disassemble the AB until you get to topcoating.

Both with disassembly of the gun or AB are under 2min tops for cleaning!

It was a long time ago but that's more like the way I remember it.

Body is not cleared yet. I'm thinking about wet sanding it after a few days, and then lay on another coat. It just has a mist coat, and a normal coat. I know people say you shouldn't wet sand mica or metallic paints, but since I'll be laying another coat, I don't see any harm.

Pink primer on the interior since Tamiya flat red is still on back order, so can't finish the interior until that arrives. Plus I'm waiting on front seats (using the Z-Tune front seats in the R33 build).

haha, you're the second person to say that. I just can't do pink. Maybe if I were building one of those VIP sedans stickered up with anime characters. I forget what those kind of cars are called.

R34 and R33 interiors. I'll do the same "carpeting" for the R33 interior. Still gotta finish touching up some areas where I didn't mask off too well.

Edit: started working on the R33 chassis. Don't mind the red and green paint. I tried the cheap acrylic paint that came with the brush I got (brush was for brushing on the glue, didn't want to use my Tamiya brushes for that). Cheap paint is well, cheap. Lol. Can't really do much else at the moment since I don't have any clear for either model. They won't come in until next week.

with the slotted rotors like that, the slots should turn black with use-- some of that panel gap stuff you were doing before would be perfect there.

this is why i stay away from models.. before i know it, i'm getting blowtorches to replicate dents and scratches...
