The OE port injectors flow around 200cc/min @ 3 bar. This equates to approx 170bhp on petrol, or considerably less on E85.

I wonder if anyone has flow tested the DI system yet to truly understand the limits?

I'm not saying be a complete idiot about it and just buy whatever they want, but when it comes to fueling, I rather buy what they are the most comfortable with tuning. This isn't my first rodeo regarding modifying cars.

I was joking a little bit there. If you don't know what you are buying, you shouldn't be buying it or even modifying a car.

@moto-mike found several spots where the injectors were at 100% duty cycle when running E85. That's enough for me to invest the $300 and swap injectors.

I'm not sure if there are other ways to alleviate max duty cycle but if injectors can fix it, well it's an easy swap. I'm assuming when people upgrade to the intercooler and higher boost pulley they will need injectors on pump too.

Agreed, which is why I went with pump and injectors right off the bat.

Just making a point that theres a lot of information being thrown around.

It is handled on site at Innovate. Irvine, CA USA. The customer does not have to ship anything over seas.

As for the fuel pump, we are going to test further to see what's going on there. Looks like Jon's datalogs show it may not be needed with the 700's and E85 but we have to look at it further. Hopefully will have time tomorrow to go hunting in the fuel tank again and double check the hardware. Folks over at Deatschwerks had some great info so we'll pull the canister and double check some things.

Okay you guys. I'll be draining my tank and running E85 when I get my Custom BRZedit retune this weekend.... I'll be running a full 3in intake + full header back exhaust. Will I NEED new injectors or pump for E85? I'll also be running a Nameless Performance oil cooler. All the parts show up today... Super stoked... Looking for info because if I NEED injectors I have to order them today!

p.s this is obv with the innovate twin screw of god!

From what I've been reading, injectors are a BIG yes, pump is a maybe.

ok ill help you guys out the stop system ive had give out around 280whp with injectors in i have the pump lose flow at 290whp. this was on 93 octane. if you factor in the 30% increase in fuel needed the injectors only will cause fueling issues without the pump on e85 at lower hp levels. you can try to lean on the DI system to help but you wont get far. I dont understand why its the innovate guys that seemed to be the most concerned about blowing an engine compared to the turbo/vortech guys but are the most resistant to not want to upgrade the fuel system. Nick lemme know i have pump and injectors instock.

Robispec is leaning on the DI with a deutswerks pump and is probably around 280 whp on a dynojet. When I asked him if he and his tuner thought that was safe or a good idea he said that it was and that you wanna rely on the DI as much as possible before having to go to the ports.

There are two sides of the coin I guess.
