I just sent a new map out to @tg_1981, there was a bug from Ecutek when changing the maps, it should be fixed now. If anyone else is having this issue, send me an email, and I'll send you out a new map. Thanks!

Just loaded the new tune on the car. Map 3 works ran it up and down the street with a smile on my face.

Sent out an email with my first datalog last night on the first map. Wasn't sure if it was ok to run the 3rd map yet or not.

I hope to this week.

I just got home from work and flashed to the new tune @PERRIN_Jeff sent me. WOW. Not only is my idle raised a bit but also the rough idle issue seems to be a thing of the past. I switched to map 3 on the way out of my neighborhood while I was rolling down the road and it worked with no problem. I gunned it as I pulled on to the main road to merge with traffic and it was perfectly smooth delivery of power(new headers ). When I turned around and headed back towards my house there were no more shudders from my engine mounts when I clutch in, it felt rock solid.

Jeff also told me a trick to get rid of dead pedal after a flash, this might be old news to some:
Turn the key on, give it full throttle then lift about 20 times. Turn it off then do this again (20 full throttles, then turn it off). Now start your car. I bet the gas pedal feels better?

This works perfectly. I flashed, followed those directions, and I had zero dead pedal after the flash.

Very cool Jeff, thanks a ton!

This is without starting the car right? Just put car in the ON position but without actually starting it?

Glad to hear it's working well! I can't wait to see the charted results when you get a chance. And thanks in advance for doing that.

So should be calibrating the pedal voltage after a flash. GOOD TO KNOW as with that info I'd say my pedal's output voltage is a little low.

Very interested in your updated dyno's too.

A question to all three of you Houston Vortech early adopters:
You have all driven on the original kit and then were given a bump in power with the updated blower. After driving on the new blower for a while are you considering additional upgrades like E-85 or higher psi, or is the current power sufficient for now? I guess I'm wondering if there is a stopping point where you feel everything is good or is this the beginning of an addiction...

I made 252 hp to the wheels and 201 tq to the wheels. The wireless router was not cooperating so Chris is not yet able to email me my dyno chart, but @F1point4 snapped a pic of the screen so he should post it before too long.

Edit: I should also mention that my rough idle has come back, it was steady for about a day and half after the flash, then started wavering a bit, then started doing the full rough idle thing again within a couple of days. (+200 to -200 from idle back and forth). Sigh. It has been like this since I picked up the car, but there has to be a solution.

I think when it comes to mods I'm the most negative person I know.

I never expect to see gains. This attitude ensures that I won't be disappointed.

HOWEVER...

The new blower and new tune.. I can tell the difference.

If Victor doesn't get around to posting his pictures, I'll grab the data and post it up.
