Thanks for putting in the time to figure out the issue.

Also thank you for increasing the money in my pocket as I can now sell another map sensor

It is for a few reasons, some of which I don't have the time to get into. But basically because of how the SC flows, the cam phasing is critical, and unlike turbos and the centrifugals; it creates a different flow pattern right at the runner and is the reason for the wobbly MAP signal.

In double checking and making a few phone calls we know that not the omni, the OEM honda, nor the denso IAT based map sensors will work. I think any >1.3 bar sensor will have the same issue when intercooled.
How can a wobbly MAP sensor reading cause such a huge decrease in power >5k rpms. Not questioning you just asking what things are changing in the ECU when the MAP reading gets wobbly? How could this cause misfires?

FWIW I noticed post-intercooler install with the 72.5mm pulley my MAP Sensor reading had a lot more deviation in it's reading: (running 3-bar Omni)

4-6 weeks in the UK is what I've been told.

My tuner also advised to use the OEM MAP sensor. Looking through the maps, if you're using a MAF based setup then there's no reason to need a higher pressure sensor. The only thing you miss out on is seeing the correct pressure through the OBD port.

Thanks for posting all of this Mike.

Does the stock sensor have a slower reaction time causing it to average out pulsations from the compressor? I wonder if simply adding an inductor inline with the other sensors would clean thing up?

Not really, it just loses all resolution above 5 psi where we have the issues. We will be working on ways to get around this issue so we can have proper boost measurement.

Finally got the car on the road for the first time - thanks to everyone that helped me with the stupid install problem over the weekend - just got back from the first run - car feels so much better than before! Some small things came up - hoping to get some answers to that here soon. Glad to be a part of the club!

Dumb question but it's been a while, should I disconnect the battery when changing the MAP sensor?

It has both a MAF and a MAP sensor. It primarily relies on the MAF for fueling in stock form.

Swapped back to the OEM MAP sensor, things feel good and smooth now. Hoping to get back up to the dyno next week if I can find the time.
