I agree. 22 isn't really much at all. I plan to do a little more.

Yup, 22 is not enough. 35-45 should do it. I usually use a crows foot to put in headers. Easy access that way.

You guys think I should get some new gaskets when tightening the bolts again? I only put the Grimmspeed ones for maybe 6 to 700 miles.

I remember reading all the drama surrounding the Borla header's collector, then seeing JDL's close up of theirs, made me wonder why it got so many panties in a bunch. Well, finally stumbled onto this video that makes it simple enough for me to understand why the design of that section is a pretty big thing.

Not to talk about a competitor but I know when nameless changed the way the merge collector came together, still using a knife edge idea it affected where and how much power the headers made.

So just to back that up, the collector is important.

header du jour

My UEL, overpipe and catted front pipe are being put on today, as we speak.

Will let you know the results. I'm expecting great things!

Tune to come later. For now moving secondary sensor back behind the cat in the front pipe with an extension.

Can you add a resonator to the frontpipe instead of a cat?

Shouldn't have to. These are extra thick gaskets and from what I've noticed, they don't appear to be one time use. If any worries, just look at the gasket before putting it back on. I'd be willing to bet they would replace any gasket that may have leaked due to re-torquing.

Thanks @moto-mike for the crowfoot wrench mention. I think I'm going to pick up a set of these from Sears. They look extremely handy for these UEL bends and torquing.

Have you tried e-mailing/calling JDL directly?
