Fill it from the top (at least the transmission).
Really late to the game here, but you can get a funnel with a hose attachment and fill it from above. I think the funnel is handy for other things, too.

I fill from the top as well...I think it's easier.

Just an FYI. You can fill the diff from the top too.
Remove one of the rubber body plugs under the spare tire and snake a hose to the diff. |

Why complicate your lives having to unscrew and pop clips off to squeeze a hose through the top? When its time to take it out it'll be dripping with fluid and you risk spilling some on your seats and interior. Just go to any parts store and buy a siphon pump they work just fine i have this same one and the job quick and painless
