Time to trade in my asphalt FR-S for something that will make the ladies swoon for its exterior AS WELL AS its interior...

Safety standards represent a bear minimum. It does not mean every windshield is constructed exactly the same, all it means is it must withstand a certain amount of force and it isn't supposed to shatter into loose bits.

It's possible to be easier to chip while still meeting minimum qualifications.

Could just be that our cars are very low to the ground versus damn near anything else. Other cars take those rocks to the grille or bumper.

Gotta love this:

"The tweaked FR-S emphasizes luxury as well as sportiness, Scion says, which is something of a boast for a brand known for selling very basic cars to young drivers. To spruce up the FR-S a bit, Scion added heated seats with camel leather and black Alcantara trim. The steering wheel, shift knob, and parking brake lever are trimmed in black leather, and there’s more camel-colored trim and accent stitching throughout the cabin."

Watch out Rolls Royce Scion is hot on your tail!
Sorry, did I do something wrong?

Yeah... I had far more luxury in my 1989 merc.
And that didn't have any nannies, so I could go sideways without fiddling with buttons.

Come to think of it, I miss that old merc. Was a good car. Until it fell apart.

"Issues". As long as car manufacturers are mandated to use water based paints to save the environment paint issues will impact every car. I think the rake of the windshield and height of the car are more important factors because windshields are part of a cars' structure and using thin weak glass will leave OEM wide open for law suits.

I'm currenly at SEMA and saw RS2.0 there, so I took few pics.

I must say, when I heard bout it, I wasn't really into it... but seeing it in person, I like it. Word "Settle" describe RS2.0 really well. In the photo, those orange/brown interior looks bright, but in person it's not that bright. Over all of the design is nice. Not too fan of the wheels... but let's face it, you always change the wheels. Same goes with paint. It's not crazy color. It's kinda like Subie's Crosstrek tan... but maybe few shade lighter?

Is RS2.0 for everyone? Not really. If you want more "calmer" looking FRS, I highly recommend it. It doesn't have any "performance" package like RS1.0. It was aim more toward mature/adult. I do like that lip kit they have on this though.

Now here are some photos. Due to cold weather and rain, I didn't take as much. I'll try to take more tomorrow

I think it will be one of those colours you need to see in the flesh. That said I wonder what sort to wheels would actually go well with that colour? Any time I see that colour I keep thinking.. Battleship Grey, for some reason?

Another bonus is it looks like a flat / non-metallic colour so matching a body kit or even repairs should not be a pain like people have with SWP.

I'd probably say bronze wheels and some Tom's clear brake lights would round that car out nicely.

If they're the same wheels as on the series.blue, then they're about 3lbs lighter than stock per corner according to someone on here. No proof, so take it with a grain of salt.
