It's probably just you getting used to the new engagement point. It's a spindle rod, so the nut being loose shouldn't necessarily allow the rod to rotate that freely by itself, it's just for added security and robustness. When I checked, I didn't notice any change in the pedal height.

When the pedal is lowered, my pedal has 2-3 mm dead space at the top. It seems the pedal can be pushed in and pulled out of this deadspace without it moving the clutch plates.

Is it okay to move the cruise control sensor into the pedal to get rid of this wiggle space? It doesn't seem to be enough pressure to begin disengaging the clutch, but it does get rid of that annoying empty feeling at the top.

Thoughts?

^^^^^ same here. I dont know if it was like that before but I could press the clutch pedal in for few mm. Other than that. I already got used to the new height.

I think that means you lowered it too much. I noticed it too when I lowered it more than ~2mm below the brake pedal; the clutch just felt a lot less springy and I wasn't feeling it, so I raised it to almost level with the brake pedal and now it's perfectly solid. May have something to do with the orientation of the spring for the clutch pedal.

My clutch is not lower than the breake pedal. It has same height even higher. Anyway, I'll check tomorrow.

After driving around for a year and a half i finally got to lowering my clutch pedal. At first i made it lower than the brake pedal, and although the engagement feels best here, I missed the compound bow springiness of the clutch. I made it flush or slighly higher than the brake pedal and got the springiness is back... This is where I'm keeping it. In-between normal and absurdly high.

It's never bothered me how high the clutch sat until I read this thread. Now I HAVE to adjust it! Thanks!

After driving mine for 8 months, my clutch releases at almost the very top of the throw. Never had this happen in any other MT i have driven. What does this mean?

After driving with my seat nearly all the way forward to help get my drunken idgit friends home, I can really appreciate this adjustment.

I'm so used to the stock setting now, but still plan on doing it this summer... funny thing is I was all ready to go for adjusting it 2nd week of buying the car last year, but I did not have the correct wrench size out of all my wrenches and decided to just deal with it.

Did this today. Tried all sorts of things.

But then I got it to the point I wanted, and the clutch started making a click noise when I put it in and pulled it out. Not like transmission noise, or anything like that. It was purely a pop like a part of the clutch assembly. It's not terrible loud, or sounds bad, but it's a bit obnoxious.

I went back to stock height and am still getting it. I didn't move the sensor at all.

any thoughts? It's definitely in the cabin. It seems like it may have something to do with the cylinder.

Mine did the same thing...it doesn't sound bad but I was slightly concerned as well, and it's pretty annoying constantly hearing it. I haven't pinpointed the location either.
