If you're going stock height and no LCAs you won't even get past -1.5 and you'd be lucky to get that much.

I’m guessing that at near stock height and 2 1/2 . 245/40 should clear the fenders without rubbing. Last edited by Autoenthusiastasm; 10-07-2020 at 09:38 PM. |

Correct. Just run a +35mm - +40mm offset wheel.

-4.5 is too much camber. And probably unless your camber plates are insane.

One thing to consider with those LCAs (assuming "LPC" was supposed to be "SPC") is that you'll need an alignment anytime you disconnect the LCA. Like, to change springs or change an axel etc. You'd break even after 1 alignment if you go with a better adjustable LCA. |

I was thinking white line , LCA. What do you recommend and why. G to make informed decisions so I only buy once. For wheels. If I went 45 offset, could I get by with a 5 mm spacer to fit. |

My Megan's are the latter and I've got space to go to at least -4.5 if not a little more but I'm not sure I could hit -5 on both sides. I'm at -4.3 and I plan on backing down to -4 when it next goes on the rack and adding a bit of toe out to see if that helps Street driving tire wear. I had two lobed bolts (16/14mm) in my bilstein which has oe spec holes and I believe I never maxed it out either but went up to about -3.7 degrees (with camber plates), -4 should have been possible iirc but -4.5 might have been a stretch, slotting or enlarging the upper strut hole likely would have done the trick is I wanted more. You could also put an offset bushing in the lca like this one. I don't know if it's STX legal though with the silly metal content rules. https://www.powerflexusa.com/shop/pr...BoCzIUQAvD_BwE And some coilovers are just made different to allow more camber iirc the 949 xidas will hit -3 degrees or more on oe top hats which is neat. I have the Verus LCAs, they're solid.
Agreed on front camber, you'll want to be over 4 degrees. How to get there depends a lot on your coilovers, some are more slotted than others at the knuckle mount. I have RCE Tarmac 2s and Ground Control top hats. I'm around -4.2 with the OEM bolts and still have room to get more at the hats. |

I've been running 4.2ish negative camber on Tarmac 2's and RaceEng camber plates for a couple of years now. I can't get anymore because of the sway bar end links. They hit the body and and I can't turn the wheel. White line end links BTW.

Get smaller end links, the Whiteline links are great for durability but *really* chunky.
-4.2 to -4.5 should be about enough though, IMO.

The tire rack TR motor sports are +45. They are fairly light 19,8 and dirt cheap at $120. I would probably need a spacer (guessing 5mm). Would I have to extend the lug bolts? Not really interested in the hassle, I don’t have an impact wrench

You might clear with that setup and no spacer, but I don't have a lot of knowledge in the area.
I'm lowered a fair bit on my coilovers, running 17x9 +40mm wheels, 255/40 tires and -3.8 camber in front. I rub when turning the wheel to lock either direction, but otherwise it's good. |
